INTRODUCTION
The
story is about a son and his mother who battles against the cruel proclamation
of the ruler.
PARAGRAPH
The
country of Shining was ruled by a cruel ruler who declared to abandon all the
aged people of the country. A farmer had an old mother and he loved his mother.
But he could not do anything against the governor.
All the
aged people were to be left in a hill called as “Obatsuyama”.The farmer took
some cooked rice ,some water and carried his mother on his back. The path was
too long. His mother feared her son would get lost while returning. So she left
some twigs on the path as a mark. Her hands were wounded, on seeing this the
son’s heart melted.
"The path is full of
danger follow the twigs; they will guide you home - Mother"
He decided to return home with his mother and ready to
face the death. He hid his mother in a hut.
The king
again proclaimed an order to present a rope of ashes All the people were puzzled.
But the old mother gave an idea. She asked her son to make a rope with twisted
straws and burn them on a windless night. There was perfect rope of ashes. The
king was please and asked how he did. The farmer told that it was his mother’s idea.
The king realized his mistake and abolished the cruel rule.
MORAL
‘ With the crown of snow there cometh wisdom'
