INTRODUCTION
The
author brings out the real Dilemma, the oscillating state of human mind. The
story splashed out the outcome of an uncontrolled curious mind.
PARAGRAPH
Tom’
uncle died & had left a box of richest spend all his saving for uncle’s funeral.
In the letter uncle had mentioned that the box had dynamites that may explode.

The result was obvious and this drives the author crazy.
He had internal conflict & dilemma on deciding about risking his life for
mere wealth. This affected hie health.

He tried various methods, consulted many people &
even Prof, Clinch to open the box. But in vain this made him crazy but no
solution was got. He remained poor in spite of all his riches. His marriage was
cancelled, his life was a complete mess, nearly doomed. His doctor advised him
to keep it away to be peaceful. But Tom’s dilemma over the riches destroyed his
happy life. He finally donated to his society.
